A Hero’s Legacy, a Terry Fox film for ARTA
I, like many others, hold Terry Fox in high regard and consider him a national treasure. Through the years, people have shared that he is an unmatched inspiration to them, like the Innisfail couples I featured in Golden Nuggets in November 2023. Bill Hoppins and Patrick Gleason and their spouses, all retired Chinook’s Edge teachers, have fond memories of the times they have shared organizing the annual Terry Fox Run in Innisfail since 1981. Recently the Albert Retired Teachers Association (ARTA) reached out to me with a unique idea to feature this story in the back-to-school edition of their magazine. The result is an amazingly illustrated four-page tale, designed by the ARTA communications team in graphic form. Excited to share it with you!
